More Primary School Renovations

With funds from a group of Kilimanjaro climbers the charity renovated and rebuilt Kilaremo primary school.

All classrooms were reroofed and their walls plastered and floors laid. An old dining hall was demolished and rebuilt to provide two classrooms and an office.

The renovation of Kilaremo school also included the rebuilding and extension of their lavatory block which serves over 370 children. Recently another donor sponsored the installation of a water stand-pipe in the school grounds.

Kochakindo primary school on the plains has been renovated and new school lavatories have been built.

Work building a classroom for pre-primary pupils is complete and newly enrolled pupils are enjoying their new school.

A recent addition is the building of an office for the teaching staff. The old, cramped office is now a valuable store room.

At Mshiri primary school glass in all the windows has replaced the wooden shutters, and the staffroom has been doubled in size.

The charity has finished renovating Matala primary school.

The charity has built a new staffroom and store for teachers at Nganyeni primary school.

At Masia Marangu primary school its new library is a joy.

Although the charity's work in building and renovation is no longer a main focus, a small amount of renovation and building work continues.
