Teacher In-service Training & Development

Our Teachers' Resource Centre provides in-service training to local primary school teachers. Our programme for 'whole school development' is underway assisting teachers and head teachers in their work and liaising with district education officials to effect improvements in the delivery of primary education.

Provision of English Language Teaching

After training them in the UK we send volunteers including our gap year students to teach English in rural primary schools and organise extra curricular activities.

Vocational Training School

Our vocational training school offers training in carpentry, masonry, and tailoring & craft to primary school leavers and other young people.

Primary School Renovation and Support

As an essential first step we have undertaken primary school renovation to make a better learning environment leading to increased attendance, better health and increased teacher morale.

This work will no longer be a main focus, but a small amount of renovation and building work continues.

Computer Learning Centre

The Guerba Computer Centre not only runs courses to learn to use computers, but also has an internet café and provides secretarial services.
