Gap Year Volunteers Teaching in Kilimanjaro Africa for Charity

We are a UK and Tanzanian-based charity. Our mission is to enhance the quality of education, especially for village children, in order for future generations to become confident and responsible citizens. We work in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania. We need gap year students and volunteers to help us.

We work in the main areas listed below:

• Whole-School Development and Teacher In-Service Training

  Our Teacher's Resource Centre provides in-service training to local primary school teachers.

• Primary School Renovation and Support

  We renovate primary schools to make a better learning environment leading to increased school attendance, better health of pupils, and increased teacher morale.

• English Language Teaching

  After training them in the UK, we send volunteer teachers including our gap year students to teach English in rural primary schools in Tanzania and organize extra-curricular activities.

• Vocational Training

  Our Vocational Training School offers training in carpentry, masonry, tailoring and craft to primary school leavers.
