Gap year and career-break opportunities
If you are looking for an especially rewarding, well-organised gap year programme or career-break in a beautiful location then this is for you.
Walking through lush countryside with Mount Kilimanjaro as the backdrop volunteers go from their own village houses to local primary schools. Here the volunteers teach basic English and a choice of extra-curricular activities such as football, painting or singing, and become immersed in village life with the Chagga tribe.
Many village children only have the chance of primary education - so you can help where the need is greatest.
The cost and what is included:
- £3250 (subject to change)
- Return flight
- Village accommodation
- Training before leaving the UK (teaching methodology and essential Swahili)
- Most teaching materials
What you need to provide:
- Living costs and spending money
- Insurance
- Initial entry visa to Tanzania
- Energy and enthusiasm!
UK training is for two weeks in November/December. The teaching in Kilimanjaro begins in January and continues until August/September.
